Sarfatty Associates Ltd. assists Haiti Earthquake Relief Effort

Sarfatty Associates, Ltd. is proud to be part of the humanitarian effort to assist the earthquake victims in Haiti by providing architectural services for a new orthotics and prosthetics facility in partnership with Hanger Orthopedic Group, the United States’ largest provider of orthotic and prosthetic patient care, headquartered in Bethesda, MD. Hanger is donating orthopedic devices and expert knowledge by opening this facility in Haiti, and Sarfatty Associates shall provide their architectural expertise at no cost.

“We are providing design services for a patient care facility that includes a full fabrication lab, machine room and several patient rooms for the casting, fitting and modification of orthotic and prosthetic devices,” Sarfatty Associates’ Vice-President Joel Lome said, “Working extensively with Hanger for the past six years has allowed us to understand the design intricacies of their facilities and how best to create an efficient workplace that will assist the victims of the earthquake. We are glad we could contribute to this effort.”
